About Susan Lane Riley
I hold a B. A. in English from the University of Massachusetts/Boston and a M. Ed. from Northeastern University. I was certified as an English teacher, 5–9,
9–12, and Reading Specialist K–12. In my role as adult basic education program administrator at the Somerville Center for Adult Education (SCALE), I supervised staff, team-taught, and offered individualized reading and writing tutorials for students age 16+ functioning at grade level 1.0–8.0. My greatest joy was seeing students transform from struggling readers and writers to competent, successful lifelong learners and achievers. I would be proud to help your child reach that same goal.
